Congratulations on your recent admission to Central!

Now that you've been accepted to Central, learn more below about how to get ready for your first semester with us!

Upon your acceptance to Central, you will receive an email from Central Accounts Management with instructions for activating your new Central BlueNet account. Your Central BlueNet account is used to access computing services both on and off campus. It consists of your:

  • BlueNet username - a unique username (usually your first initial, last initial and 4 numbers), used to log into computers on campus and some specialized systems.
  • Central Microsoft 365 account - your Central email address (ending in @my.ccsu.edu), used to access your Central Microsoft 365 account (email, Office applications, OneDrive, etc) and log into most online systems like WebCentral-BannerWeb and Blackboard.

After completing your FAFSA, the Financial Aid Office will automatically review and award any aid you qualify for. 

How to View/Accept Financial Aid Awarded

The payment of your Admissions Confirmation Deposit ($200) confirms your intention to attend Central. Soon after payment, you will receive registration information.

So What's Next?

With your deposit paid and your spot at Central reserved, there are a few more things you need to do to prepare for your college career.

The Office of New Student Programs is here to support a smooth transition for all new students (first-years & transfers) and their parents/families. Orientation programs will provide all students and their families with the connections and tools in preparation of a successful launch into that first semester.

Complete Health Forms

All registered students must submit a medical form to Student Wellness Services. Download a form and learn more about it on our Wellness Services FAQ page.

Attend New Student Orientation

The Office of New Student Programs coordinates orientation programs for all confirmed new students. 

Pick up Blue Chip Student ID

Go to the Card Office to pick up your Blue Chip Student ID Card. You’ll soon discover that the Blue Chip card is everyone's “everything card” at Central!

Obtain a parking decal

Parking decals are required to park on campus, and once you are registered, you can apply for one through the Card Office.
