Call for proposals: Next Generation of Student Success, Diversity, Innovation, and Community Engagement Grant

Published:

The Office of Grants and Funded Research/Post-Award Grants is now accepting proposals for the 2025-2026 Next Generation of Student Success, Diversity, Innovation, and Community Engagement Grant.

The Next Generation grant program supports faculty and staff in developing and implementing projects that foster connections with students, business and industry partners, and the communities Central serves. These initiatives support faculty in incorporating new activities and teaching methods, thereby positively influencing Central and the broader community.

This year, as part of Central's Strategic Plan 2030, we will be focusing on two initiatives: Artificial Intelligence and Experiential/Service Learning. Extra scoring points will be granted for proposals that focus on either of these two areas.

IMPORTANT DATES

Thursday, Nov. 7: Pre-Proposal Forum; 11 a.m., Davidson 107

A pre-proposal forum will be held for faculty and staff members interested in submitting a proposal. Recipients are encouraged to develop cohorts and participate with others working on similar goals in an early planning workshop, a mid-program workshop, and an end of the year symposium. Awardees submit written reports summarizing the learning outcomes of their specific initiative and will present their findings at the end of year symposium. Location to be determined.

Friday, Dec. 20: Letter of Intent due date

Letters of Intent (LOI) should describe, in no more than 500 words, a description of the project and how the initiative is expected to impact student success, diversity, innovation, innovative teaching, and/or community engagement. Letters of Intent should be electronically sent as a single PDF document by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, to the Grants Office (CCSUgrants@ccsu.edu). No late letters of intent will be accepted.
