First Year Connected

The First-Year Connected (FYC) Program supports first-year and first-generation students as they transition into college life. Established in 2019 by the President's Office and New Student Programs, FYC pairs students with compassionate University staff who serve as non-academic coaches. These mentors provide personalized guidance, helping students navigate campus resources, stay on top of deadlines, and get involved in campus life. Participants in the program have reported higher success rates, including improved GPAs and retention. Join FYC to gain a mentor who will motivate, guide, and empower you through your first year at Central!
