
Want a student worker position? Follow these steps to finding on-campus work:
- Get active on Handshake to see which Central offices have posted student job opportunities.
- Confirm if you are eligible for the Federal Work Study program by reviewing your FAFSA Award. When you speak to hiring offices, let them know if you or are not work study eligible.
- Ask Central offices if they are hiring by calling, emailing, or visiting the office. Check the pipeline for contact information.
- Explore employment options in the surrounding Central area. Some include positions at both the New Britain and the Newington Parks & Rec (After School Programs), Stop & Shop, Dollar General, Target, Costco, Trader Joe’s, Olive Garden, West Farms Mall, Big Y, Jersey Mike’s. (The Central Card Office gives students free access to the U-Pass program for public transportation throughout the state.)
