The United Soccer Coaches College announced its annual Team Academic Award winners on Aug. 16, and both the men’s and women’s soccer teams received the award.
The honor recognizes teams that collected a combined team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2022-23 academic year. The women were recognized for the 22nd consecutive season, while the men earned the honor for the eighth time, including the third straight season.
A total of 801 teams posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Of that total, Central was one of 179 schools to have both their men's and women's programs recognized.
