Central Connecticut State University partnered with the Connecticut Concrete Promotion Council and the American Concrete Institute New England Chapter to host “Concrete College” on Sept. 25.
Representatives from the Federal Highway Administration brought FHWA’s Mobile Concrete Technology Center (MCTC) to the Kaiser Hall parking lot to introduce students to the state-of-the-art concrete technology in materials selection, mixture design, field and laboratory testing, and pavement evaluation. The MCTC was in Connecticut to demonstrate new test methods related to the Performance Engineered Mixture initiative and other concrete technologies.
