Markita James, a graduate student in the Clinical Professional Counseling program, was recently awarded the 2025 Fellowship Scholarship through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program for Mental Health Counselors.
James said, “I am still in awe of this opportunity. The fellowship will involve networking, learning, sharing, growing, and expanding my vision for counseling marginalized communities after I obtain my degree.”
