Mills has spent more than 20 years advocating for underserved, under-represented, and under-resourced communities. She most recently served as the interim president of the National Institute of Reproductive Health. She crafted and helped implement federal policy during the Obama administration; won marriage equality in the District of Columbia; and has helped to elect hundreds of people of color, LGBTQ people, and women up and down the ballot. She also recently ran for Congress in the Democratic primary for NY-18. A nationally respected voice on social impact and progressive politics, Aisha is a frequent guest on cable news programs and recently hosted a daily prime-time current affairs show on the Black News Channel
