Astrobiology
18 credits in Astronomy, Biology, Biomolecular Science, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physics. Core requirements are AST 208, BIO 121 or BMS 102/103, and capstone course AST 470. The remaining 7 credits will be selected from the following: BIO 200, 230, 315, 405, 440, BMS 201, 316, CHEM 210, 211, 212, 213, AST 209, 378 or 478, or other electives after consultation with an advisor in the minor. In addition, the student must take CHEM 161/162, and 200/201 or 260/201.
Astronomy
18 credits in Astronomy and related fields, including AST 208 and 209. The remaining courses will be selected from AST 278, 378, 418, 470, 478, or other electives after consultation with a Geological Sciences department advisor. In addition, the student must take MATH 152, 221 and PHYS 125, 126.
Earth Sciences
18 credits in Earth Sciences, including: GSCI 121 or GSCI 131, GSCI 125 or 135, GSCI 129, and either AST 208 or 209. The remaining credits will be selected after consultation with a Geological Sciences advisor.
Earth Sciences (certifiable for secondary teaching)
20 credits in Earth Sciences, including GSCI 121 or 131, GSCI 125 or 135, GSCI 141, 145, 129, and AST 208 or 209. In addition, a student must take SCI 416, 417, 419; MATH 152, 221; and PHYS 121, 122.
Geology
18 credits in Earth Sciences, including GSCI 121 or 131, GSCI 125 or GSCI 135, 221, 290, 321 and one course from GSCI 223, 424, and 450.
