Through the CARES Act, the University has a limited number of Windows laptops for students to borrow for the academic school year (August through May). To be considered for a loaner laptop, you need to log into our IT Service Request System, with your Central email address and password, and fill out the Student Loaner Laptop request form. Once your request is processed, the Information Technology (IT) department will send you an email to schedule a time to pick up your laptop.
Laptop Information
The loaner laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad L13 with Windows 10 and Central-licensed software, such as Microsoft Office. |
Don’t have a copy of Microsoft Office?
If you have a working laptop or desktop and need Microsoft Office, you may install a free student copy of Microsoft Office. Go to https://office.ccsu.edu and log in with your Central student email/Office 365 account then click on Install Office.
Don't have Internet at home?
We are no longer loaning MiFi Internet devices. We have wireless Internet access available across campus. The FCC is offering an Emergency Broadband Benefit for those who need Internet at home: https://www.fcc.gov/broadbandbenefit.
