The Elihu Burritt Library recently received a donation of six books from author and alumnus T. Garth “Tim” Connelly ’83.
Connelly’s scholarly focus is 20th-century naval vessels. His donation includes “The Use of the United States’ Submarine Force During the Cold War"; “A History of the U.S. Navy PT Boats: 1939-1945"; “US Coast Guard 83-Foot Patrol Cutters in World War II: Sub Busters”; and “A History of the Regia Marina’s MAS Boats from 1915-1945," which was written at the behest of the former Naval Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Also included in Connelly’s donation is his award-winning book of poetry, titled “Pathos,” and his memoir, “The Woman Who Understands,” which chronicles Connelly’s time at Central Connecticut State University and his reflections on life as a disabled man.
