FoodCorps connects children to the joy and power of food. Most of your time will be spent teaching in the classroom and garden; there are also opportunities to work with school nutrition directors in supporting districtwide food systems change. Foodcorps is currently hiring service members to support these initiatives. Service members are placed in schools for 11 months (August-July), and in CT they receive a living stipend of $33,000 for their time. It’s truly a great opportunity for anyone that is interested in gardening, farming, plants, education, and food systems.
