Biography

Dr. Mueller holds a Ph.D. in English Language & Literature from the University of Huddersfield, UK. Most recently, Dr. Mueller served as Professor and Chair of the Department of English at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver). During his tenure, he successfully led the administrative restructuring of the department’s First-Year Writing program, spearheaded the creation of a new undergraduate major in Film Studies and Production, oversaw the development of the college’s first graduate program (Certificate in English Education), and established Undergraduate Research Assistantships to support faculty research and foster faculty-student collaboration.

Prior to his role at MSU Denver, Dr. Mueller served as the chair of English departments and as a professor at several institutions, including the University of Northern Colorado and University of Worcester, UK. He has published and edited numerous journal articles and books, with his research focusing on seventeenth- and eighteenth-century British literature and culture.
