Biography

Claudia Richards-Meade serves as an Equity and Inclusion Associate for the Office for Equity and Inclusion at Central Connecticut State University.  She has been with Central for over ten years serving in roles in Equity and Inclusion and Human Resources.  Claudia has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources.  Prior coming to Central, Claudia worked as the Director of Human Resources for an education and training program.  Claudia also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer, for the School of Business in the department of Management and Organization.  She has taught Fundamentals of Management and Organization at the undergraduate level. 

Claudia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Eastern CT State University and she later returned and earned her Master of Science degree in Organizational Management.  She holds certifications as a Certified Affirmative Action Professional (CAAP), AAAED; a Master’s Certificate in Environmental and Occupational Safety, Central Connecticut State University; and OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification, CareerSafe.  

She is a member of the ACE Women’s Network, and Connecticut Association of Diversity and Equity Professionals (CADEP).  At Central, Claudia is active with committee participation to include the Concerns of Women Committee, Work Life Balance, and other committees requiring planning and preparation of special university programming related to the development of faculty, staff, and students.
