Areas of Expertise

Dr. Chathurika is a medicinal chemist. Her expertise is at the interface of organic chemistry and biology. Her lab is currently working on the design and synthesis of novel peptidomimetics as therapeutic tools against drug-resistant bacteria. Another project in her lab focuses on enzyme mimetics development for industry applications.
