Biography
Dr. Felice Atesoglu Russell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Central Connecticut State University. Her teaching, research, service, and community engagement focuses on the developmental continuum of preservice to leadership education with a particular focus on professional learning and culturally and linguistically diverse students. A former K-12 classroom teacher, she is interested in the intersection of theory and practice as she engages and collaborates with students and practitioners with the goal of equitable learning opportunities for all.
Prior to arriving at Central, she held academic appointments at Ithaca College and Kennesaw State University. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Washington where she conducted research with the Center for the Study of Teaching and Policy. Her work has been published in journals such as Teacher Education Quarterly, TESOL Journal, Journal of School Leadership, Journal of Staff Development, and Phi Delta Kappan.
