Dr. Jeremiah N. Jarrett, a professor of Biology, has served as Biology Department Chairperson, Associate to the Dean of the School of Engineering, Science and Technology (SEST), and Interim Dean of SEST at Central. Dr. Jarrett also served Central as Senior Presidential Fellow for two years under the guidance of President Zulma Toro.
Dr. Jarrett is a marine ecologist with the following research interests:
a) the biology and ecology of marine invertebrate larvae, particularly the impact of larval experience on post-metamorphic performance
b) defensive plasticity in the barnacle genus Chthamalus
c) population genetics and connectivity of the sea cucumber Holothuria mexicana
d) monitoring for invasive marine invertebrate species in Long Island Sound
