Dr. Keshab Acharya is an Associate Professor of Management and Organization at Central Connecticut State University. He received his PhD in Business Administration, with an emphasis in management, from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He holds an MBA degree, with a specialization in finance, from Pokhara University and a bachelor’s degree in science, with a concentration in physics, from Tribhuvan University. He has acquired diverse teaching experience both before and during his doctoral studies. His teaching interests include strategic management, business policy, and entrepreneurship. His research interests focus on various issues related to CEO activism, strategic leadership, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility. His research papers have been published in leading academic journals, including “Journal of Business Research”, “Business Strategy and the Environment”, and “Corporate Governance: An International Review”. Dr. Acharya has presented several papers at top national and international conferences, including the Academy of Management, the Eastern Academy of Management, and the Southern Management Association. His research papers were selected for inclusion in the Best Paper Proceeding at the 2019 and 2020 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management. He was the recipient of the Best Doctoral Student Paper Award in the Careers/Social Issues/Diversity Issues/Ethics Track at the 2018 Southern Management Association annual meeting. In 2018, he received the PhD Student Research Excellence Award from the Department of Management at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. His recent accolades include being named to the CCSU Excellence in Teaching Honor Roll for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years. Dr. Acharya found his teaching responsibilities very rewarding, and he likes to incorporate the ideas and opinions of his students into his research.
