Biography

Lisa is a dedicated higher education professional with several years’ experience supporting student wellbeing and fostering safe and inclusive campus communities. A proud graduate of Central, Lisa has earned a BA in Psychological Sciences (2016) and a MA in Counseling Education, specializing in Student Development in Higher Education (2020).

Before returning to Central, Lisa worked as the Assistant Director of CARE for Student Affairs at Quinnipiac University, where she supported students of concern by collaborating with campus partners, facilitating referrals, and addressing complex student needs. Lisa’s experience in case management, mental health advocacy, and proactive student support has greatly informed her current work in victim advocacy and violence prevention.

Lisa is also a certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, demonstrating her commitment to advancing mental health education. Lisa’s dedication to student success and advocacy has earned her notable recognition, including the National Association of Student Personal Administrators (NASPA) Region I Doris Michiko Ching Award for Excellence as a Student Affairs Professional (2024).

Lisa brings a student-centered approach to her work, driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of education and support to create thriving campus communities.
