Areas of Expertise
I am a sedimentary geologist. My research focuses on the study of non-marine strata. Specifically, I reconstruct ancient depositional environments and paleogeography, recognize climatic and tectonic controls on sedimentation, and model fluid flow through sediments. My work of late includes investigating sedimentary-tectonic relationships in the Cretaceous strata of Utah.
Courses Taught
I teach classes in physical geology, field methods, sedimentology and stratigraphy, geomorphology, glacial geology and energy science.
