MICHELLE KUSAILA is a Professor in the accounting department at Central Connecticut State University. She holds a PhD from Walden University, an MS in Accounting from the University of Hartford and an undergraduate degree in accounting from UCONN. Prior to academia Michelle was an Audit Senior Manager focusing on auditing financial service firms specifically insurance companies and multi-employer employer benefit plans. She began her professional career with Deloitte and worked in public accounting for over a decade. She holds a CPA in the State of Connecticut, and recently completed the Certified Fraud Examiner certification. She teaches courses in auditing, technology, and fraud at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her current research interests are behavioral aspects of auditing, forensics, and case studies.
