Biography

Noëlle Boone earned her master's degree in Music Theory Pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music, where she also completed the coursework for her PhD. She also holds a dual bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in Music Theory and Flute Performance from the University of Connecticut. Since coming to Central in 2014, she has taught all levels of graduate and undergraduate music theory and aural skills. In 2018, she was named to the Honor Roll for the Excellence in Teaching Award. Prior to Central, she held teaching positions at the University of Connecticut and the Eastman School of Music, where she was nominated for the Excellence in Teaching Award. Until recently, she also held a position at The Country School in Madison, CT teaching private music lessons. In addition to playing the flute, Noëlle is also a harpist and pianist and enjoys performing in community concerts and benefit events.
