Any member of the university community, i.e. Staff, faculty, or student could file a complaint against a student for an alleged violation. The report can be made using the form Report a Concern found on our website.
- It means the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities has received information that you may have been involved in a violation of the Code of Conduct. The purpose of the meeting is to clarify your rights as a student, review the incident in its entirety, discuss your perspective/involvement, and determine how the case will be resolved.
- You are welcome to bring a support person with you to your meeting. Your support person can provide you with support and guidance but may not speak on your behalf during the meeting. Your support person can be anyone you choose.
- If you do not attend, a second meeting will be rescheduled. If you do not attend the second meeting, a decision may be made in your absence.

- Go to http://judicialeducator2.com
- To the right of the screen “is this your first time here”, read the directions and click on “create account” at the bottom of the screen
- Complete the form, click “create new account” and “continue”
- Select “sign in” on the left of the screen with your username and password
- After you log in, enter Enrollment Code: centcsu1!
Student Rights and Responsibilities places holds on students’ accounts when the student did not complete their assigned sanction by the due date. To get the hold removed, you must complete the sanction. If you have questions regarding the hold and what sanction needs to be completed, please contact the office at osrr@ccsu.edu or 860-832-1666.
Your student conduct record will exist for 5 years after the date of your last incident. Only you and those you have given permission to (Release of Information Form), and university staff with then “educational interest” may view your record.
No, alcohol is not allowed on campus. The possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages in a residence hall is prohibited in the Residence Halls except for James Hall and Gallaudet Hall where there are rooms/suites identified as 21 years old and older. You can find more information about the policy on the Residence Life Website.
No, possession and/or use of cannabis is not allowed on campus. A medical card has the restriction of being not allowed to be used on any school grounds or on any public or private school, dormitory, college, or university property.
If your smoke detector goes off in your room, do not touch it or try to deactivate it. You must exit the room immediately and evacuate to outside the building. You must never tamper with a smoke detector by covering it or putting anything near it. It may prevent the alarm from activating which is a danger to the community.
