Spanish on the Move - Salamanca, Spain

Are you majoring or minoring in Spanish? Or would you like to cover your language requirement while traveling in Europe? Then, this program is for you! Our course abroad in Salamanca helps you enhance your proficiency in Spanish while being immersed in the rich history and culture of Spain. You also earn six credits!

This program allows the students to increase their proficiency in Spanish through formal classes at the University of Salamanca, and through interactions with Spanish students, local residents, and host families. While you are immersed in the language, you also increase your understanding of Spanish culture and history through visits to the cites of Sevilla and Córdoba in Andalucía or other historic places, such as Toledo and Segovia. In addition to these long excursions, the students participate in local tours and extracurricular activities offered by the University.

Our program is based at the University of Salamanca- one of the oldest and best ranked universities in Europe-. The city of Salamanca itself has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Come join us for a course that increases your proficiency in Spanish language, your intercultural skills, and your knowledge of the culture and the people of Spain.

  • Students are required to register for WL 400. This course will be taught before and after the program.
  • WL 200 credits will be transferred back to Central after the program.
