Description

The University dates back to 1818 with the founding of an agricultural research and teaching institute that later became a college of agriculture and finally a full-fledged university in 1967. Aside from the numerous leisure activities, which may be enjoyed in the city area and its proximity to the Alsace region and Switzerland, the outstanding biological and agricultural science programs attract many students to the university.

The University of Hohenheim is surrounded by expansive parks and numerous blooming gardens, making it one of the most beautiful campuses in Germany. With the city of Stuttgart being a short distance away, students have easy access to fun weekend adventures. For those looking to get involved and meet students from around the world, there are over 50 student clubs to pick from! Looking to play the sport you love or try a new one? Hohenheim offers over 60 sports for students to try!

Academic Subjects

Biology, Biomolecular Sciences, Business, Communication, Economics, German Language and Culture

Students may follow an intensive language course (20 hours per week) in the Deutsch als Fremdsprache program (DaF) during their first semester.

Housing

Students will be housed in a student dormitory. Dormitory room reservations will be made by the international office or Auslandsamt of the host university.
