The Connecticut Freedom Trail tracks progress throughout our state's history towards the equality of all individuals. Connecticut was a large part of the history of the Amistad case, and there are various points throughout the trail where The Amistad's legacy can be explored. Of the over 130 sites throughout the state, and 50 towns that the trail spans, 22 of them pay homage to the contributions of The Amistad Case. Several locations include variou museums and homes in Farmington, CT, as well as religious entities, exhibits, and dedicated memorials in New Haven. The contribution The Amistad made in not only Connecticut's history, but the country's as a whole regarding the advancement of civil rights. The trail can be traveled today, and spans from Greenwich, to Putnam, and beyond. Pictured are the primary exhibit locations for The Amistad.
