Central Connecticut State University Ceramics and Management and Organization students presented their annual Empty Bowls fundraiser on Nov. 19 at Smalley Elementary School in New Britain.
“Empty Bowls” is an international project to fight hunger, personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level. Artists create soup bowls, from which guests enjoy a dinner of homemade soup and bread. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Friendship Service Center in New Britain.
Students participated in this event is in collaboration with the Center for Community Engagement & Social Research at Central.
