Dr. Jayanthi Kandiah brings a wealth of knowledge in Nutrition and Health Sciences having held various academic and administrative positions including professor, department chair, interim dean, and, most recently, associate dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Health (CoH) at Ball State University in Indiana.
During her time at Ball State University, Dr. Kandiah expanded interdisciplinary community clinics and faculty practices within the CoH. She led faculty and staff in developing, implementing, and evaluating various engagement opportunities, including clinical and field experiences for licensure and non-licensure programs.
Additionally, Dr. Kandiah provided guidance and mentorship to administrators and advisors in the creation, implementation, and assessment of clinical, educational, research, and outreach activities to support the advancement of the CoH.

The new college includes the departments of Counselor Education and Family Therapy, Nursing, Nurse Anesthesia Practice, Physical Education and Human Performance, and Social Work. Dr. Kandiah's office is in Nicolaus Copernicus Hall, Room 212.
