Central Athletics will host its annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. Presented by Eversource, this free event invites girls from kindergarten through sixth grade to learn about a variety of sports from Central’s female student-athletes!
Central will host activity stations to introduce participants to volleyball, soccer, softball, cheer, dance, lacrosse, and track & field. Lunch will be served, followed by a poster-making session to help cheer on the women’s basketball team during its 1 p.m. game against LIU. Following the game, members of the Blue Devils basketball team will sign autographs for the participants.
Please register in advance by completing an online registration form and a waiver. (If you are registering more than one participant, please fill out forms for each one.) The first 100 registrants will receive a free T-shirt! Registration also will be available on site, starting at 10:30 a.m.
