Panel discussion: What’s Next For Women’s Basketball?

From an epic NCAA tournament to a thrilling Olympics to a record-breaking WNBA season, 2024 has been a banner year for women's basketball. As the college season tips off, a panel of women's basketball journalists and executives looks back at the remarkable year that was - and explores where the game is going in 2025.

This event will take place at Alumni Hall in the Student Center.

Panelists include:

  • Elle Duncan, ESPN SportsCenter anchor and WNBA Countdown host

  • Emily Adams, Hartford Courant women’s basketball reporter

  • Way Veney, Central Connecticut State head women’s basketball coach

  • Johanna Goldblatt, manager of pro basketball programming for ESPN

This free event is funded by the Robert C. Vance Endowed Chair in Journalism and Mass Communication and is sponsored by the Central Connecticut State University Journalism Department. It is open to all Central students, alumni, faculty, and staff, as well as to members of the community. Light refreshments will be served.
