With a planned gift, you can take care of yourself and take care of Central. Planned giving involves providing for a future gift to Central or other charities through your financial and estate plans. The university welcomes gifts made through a variety of planned giving arrangements, including bequests, life income gifts.
Popular planned gifts include:
- Wills and Living Trusts
- Beneficiary Designation
- Charitable Remainder Trusts
Planning giving arrangements can:
- Provide for you or your loved ones
- Entitle you to charitable income and/or gift or estate tax deductions
- Enable you to leave a legacy for Central
When making a planned gift, you can direct the use of the gift by codifying your intentions in a legal instrument such as a Last Will and Testament or a Memorandum of Understanding executed with the CCSU Foundation in your lifetime. The foundation will honor your intentions when the donation is accompanied by written documentation directing its use. The foundation may direct unrestricted gifts to an endowed or operating fund, taking into consideration whatever may be known about you, as well as the needs of the university at the time the gift is received.
For more information on establishing a planned gift that will change the lives of Central students, browse our planned giving site or contact Jennifer Destefani at (860) 832-1767 or jdestefani@ccsu.edu. We also suggest you seek the advice of your financial and/or legal advisor about completing and returning this form to us.
