As University Counsel, Stacy advises the President, Vice Presidents, Chief Officers, and Deans related to a wide range of legal issues affecting the University. Further the OUC collaborates with the Office of the Attorney General in the defense of the University and its agents in both judicial and administrative forums.
Stacy is the University’s Ethics Compliance Officer and Freedom of Information Commission Liaison. She serves on the University’s Threat Assessment Team, Facilities Planning Committee as well as the Sexual Assault and Interpersonal Violence Resource Team. As University Counsel she is a member of the President’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining the University, Stacy was managing partner of a general practice law firm in New Haven, CT. In addition to her transactional law and litigation experience, she served as chairperson of the Standing Committee for Readmission to the Bar, served as Special Master for litigants participating in the Alternative Dispute Resolution program with the New Haven Superior Court and was named a Distinguished Leader in the Law by the Connecticut Law Tribune. Stacy is admitted to argue cases in Connecticut State and Federal Courts as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.
