Program Options

Understand the scientific methods, processes, algorithms, and systems to extract knowledge and insights from structured and unstructured data. Develop data- driven solutions to inform high-level decisions in a broad range of domains.

Master the “fourth paradigm” of science by applying knowledge and actionable insights from data to solve a wide range of problems. Using advanced, cutting-edge data science methods and techniques, design and construct new processes for data exploration, modeling, and predicting future activity.

Combine biology, computer science, information engineering, mathematics, and statistics to analyze and interpret biological data. This field helps develop a better understanding of the genetic basis of disease, unique applications, desirable properties, or differences between populations.

Build on the core curriculum of data analytics to gain a deeper understanding of “big data.” Learn how to acquire, preprocess, store, manage, analyze, and visualize data arriving at high volume, velocity, and variety.

Learn to analyze large volumes of text-based data using machine learning and natural language processing to draw meaning from unstructured text documents. Use techniques to solve applied problems like reducing employee turnover and improving productivity, understanding patient experiences, and synthesizing product reviews into specific recommendations.

I directly attribute my professional success to the world-class education I received at Central. The courses I took at Central provided me with the depth and breadth of technical skills I needed to hit the ground running in my career, along with an abundance of applied experience solving real-world problems.
