Applying for Admission

For consideration, applicants must submit the following:

  1. A completed online application with supplemental materials (ccsu.edu/apply):
    • Proof of professional license/designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CFA) or advanced degree (e.g., JD, Masters or Doctoral) or state CPA or Bar exam scores, if applicable
    • Current resume/CV
    • $50 application fee
  2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (GPA of 3.00 or higher)
    • Applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 2.70 to 2.99 may apply for conditional, part-time admission
    • Applicants with a degree other than accounting must complete the following prerequisite foundational Central courses or their equivalent with a GPA of 3.00 or higher prior to beginning class in the MSA:
      • Introduction to Financial Accounting
      • Introduction to Managerial Accounting
      • Intermediate Financial Accounting I
      • Intermediate Financial Accounting II
      • Intermediate Financial Accounting III or Advanced Financial Accounting
      • Cost Accounting
      • U.S. Federal Income Taxation
      • Accounting Information Systems
      • Auditing
