Admission Requirements

Applying for Admission

For consideration, applicants must submit the following:

1. A completed online application with supplemental materials (ccsu.edu/apply):
   1. Essay (2-3 pages, double-spaced) describing:
      1. Reasons for entering the student affairs/services profession
      2. Experiences that influenced your decision
      3. Personal characteristics you believe will contribute to your success as a student affairs/services practitioner
   2. $50 application fee
   3. Contact information for a reference
   4. Current Resume
2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (GPA of 2.70 or higher)
   • Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.00 on all post-baccalaureate coursework
3. Interview by the program’s faculty admissions committee

NOTE: Because admission to the Master of Science in Student Development in Higher Education is a highly competitive process, meeting the minimum graduate and program specific application criteria and requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
