COVID Guidelines

On Friday, March 1, 2024, the CDC ended the 5-day isolation requirement for those who test positive for Covid-19. The updated guidance now recommends that those who have Covid-19 should stay home until they've been fever-free without medication for at least 24 hours, or their symptoms have been improving for 24 hours.

This change reflects that Covid-19 will now be treated as a common respiratory viral illness, the same as flu and RSV. As with any illness, there are people with special considerations who should continue to remain vigilant and take precautions as recommended by specific guidelines. For more information please visit the CDC website.

Student Health Services will be advising students in accordance with this new guidance and hence will not be placing students in isolation. Please note that is your responsibility to communicate with your professors for any extended absences due to illness.
