The purpose of this organization is to promote the educational expansion of technical theatre on the Central campus, to further develop professional contacts in the theatrical world, and to encourage the community to gain a better knowledge of theatre technology.

Events
Each year USITT co-sponsors the departments spring musical along with the musical theater club, Center Stage, and the Student Government Association.
This year USITT will be attending the annual USITT conference in Louisville, Kentucky. While attending the conference, students will attend panels on varying interests within the field (management, costuming, sound, lighting, etc.), participate in resume and portfolio reviews, and have the opportunity to network and interview with industry professionals on the expo floor.
This year, club faculty advisor Scott Bartley will also be attending and will present two seminars at the conference.
Meetings
Meetings are held every Tuesday at 3:05pm in the Maloney Hall Black Box Theatre.
