Faculty

A majority of the faculty within the Accounting Department have practical business experience and professional certifications to supplement their terminal academic degrees. The practical business experience enables the faculty to bring into the classroom what goes on in the real business world. On the academic side, our faculty have doctorate degrees from universities such as Capella University, Creighton University, Florida International University, Nova Southeastern University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Sungkyunkwan University, Temple University, Texas Tech University, University of Central Florida, University of Connecticut, University of Pittsburgh, University of Kentucky, Walden University, Wilmington University. Besides their emphasis on excellence in classroom teaching, most of our faculty are involved in additional activities such as writing college textbooks, publishing articles in professional journals, presenting research papers at national professional conferences, and performing consulting work for business firms in the Hartford area.
