Department of Art & Design

In the Department of Art & Design, academic experiences are intended to broaden individual talent and artistic abilities, stimulate creative processes, develop skills needed to accomplish career objectives as professional artists, designers, and art educators.

Art Programs

The Art Program offers two undergraduate degrees: a B.S. in Art Education for students who wish to pursue a career in teaching art, and a B.A. in Art which provides student with studio options such as painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, illustration, New Media Arts, Mural Painting, and Art History. The Department also offers a Minor in Art.

Design Program

The Design Program offers a B.A. in Graphic/Information Design, which promotes professional studies in the areas of Graphic Design, Branding & Identity, UI/UX Design, Multimedia Design, 3-D, Digital Imaging, Motion Graphics and Animation.

Graduate Programs

The Department of Art & Design also offers three Graduate Programs:

  1. Master of Science in Art Education degree,
  2. Post-Baccalaureate Teaching Certification program,
  3. and a Master of Art in Information Design.
