Academic and Research Interests:
Ancient Numismatics of the Middle East and Asia, the impact of disease on human history and human response, cross cultural communications and cross pollination throughout history, interest in the James Burke approach to history as reflected in his old PBS series “Connections”.
Thesis or Capstone Title:
Draft title “Chinese American Relations as reflected in transnational adoption in the late 20th and early 21st centuries”
Career Interests:
As an older student nearing retirement, I am considering a number of options which includes teaching or tutoring part-time, as my second act. This might also include restarting my freelance writing pursuits which I had to give up years ago for lack of time to meet deadlines due to work responsibilities which will not be an issue at some point in the near future.
