At First-Year Student Orientation, we unite as a vibrant Central community to kick off your college journey. Our engaging programs feature friendly Orientation Leaders and takes place in January for new Spring admits and throughout the summer for Fall admits.

We can’t wait to meet you and support you as you embark on this exciting new chapter!

Orientation Goals

Foster Connections: Welcome new students and introduce them to Student Support Services

Build Community: Connect students with each other, Orientation Leaders, and their peers.

Academic Integration: Provide an initial introduction to the Undergraduate advising team, faculty, and staff, helping students navigate academic advising and course registration.

Essential Tools: Learn about Central technology, receive your Student ID and parking pass, and take home your academic course schedule.

Important information for new Spring 2025 admits

New Student Orientation for new students joining us in Spring 2025 will take place for both new first year students and new transfer students in January 2025. Students who confirm their acceptance will receive an email from CCSU Orientation with a link to sign up for one of the following orientations: Wednesday, January 15 or Friday, January 17, 2025. Orientation programs take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to attending Orientation, new students will receive outreach from undergraduate advising to set up an advising session to build their Spring 2025 academic schedule.
