Central’s BS in Computer Science prepares students for a wide variety of exciting careers. Students earn a broad range of critical skills in software development, computer security, networking, databases, artificial intelligence, and many more.
The BS in Computer Science major is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. Accredited programs must meet or exceed standards for faculty, curriculum, laboratory and computing resources, students, and institutional support.

Students acquire deep technical, computer science skills and work with their advisor to select courses that can set the stage for graduate study or employment in any technical or professional area.

The program prepares students to work in a variety of settings including software engineering, cybersecurity, web and cloud systems, artificial intelligence, robotics, and computational modeling.
They are well suited for exciting positions such as, software developer, web developer, software engineer, database administrator, security analyst, and data scientist.
