Meditative Labyrinth

The Meditative Labyrinth has been made possible by the Catherine Fellows Dance Studio Courtyard, funding from the Center for Excellence in Social Emotional Learning and support from the Forum of Contemplative Practices. This project also would not have been possible without the design and logistics work of the College Architect, Henry (Hank) Altman.

What makes our Labyrinth special?

The Central Meditative Labyrinth is one of two permanent labyrinths on a State College campus in Connecticut. Our labyrinth is also ADA compliant, allowing those with mobility issues space to enjoy the labyrinth.

Why walk the Labyrinth?

“Walking the labyrinth fulfills six important contemporary needs: deepening spirituality; inwardness and connection to soul; access to intuition and creativity; simplicity; for integration of body and spirit; and intimacy and community.” (West, 2000, p. 7-8)
