Community Partners

Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC)

The Asian Pacific American Coalition (also known as APAC) is a non-profit and non-partisan organization established in 2006 by Angela Rola, Dr. Bill Howe, George Jeong, and Senator Saud Anwar. We have many members who lead our communities under the Asian American and Pacific Islander umbrella in a multitude of ways, volunteering their time, expertise, and resources to improving the well-being of our Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) umbrella community. APAC's mission is to advocate for and with our CT AAPI communities through education, advocacy, outreach, legislation, and inter- and intra-agency and community collaboration.  Our current board of directors includes Angela Rola, Haritha Subramanian, Jenny (JHD) Heikkila Diaz, and Dr. Quan Tran.

NAMI Connecticut (NAMI CT)

NAMI Connecticut is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by mental health conditions through support, education, advocacy, and public awareness. The first NAMI CT AAPI peer support group was established in 2024, offering a culturally aware space for AAPI individuals to discuss mental health, share experiences, and access resources. NAMI CT welcomes the AAPI community and offers support by connecting individuals with valuable local and national mental health resources. To learn more about mental health resources and support for the AAPI community, visit NAMI AAPI Resources or contact us at info@namict.org.

New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA)

The first institution dedicated solely to acquiring American art, the New Britain Museum of American Art engages and enriches a broad public to explore and understand the unfolding story of America through its art and history. We collect, preserve, and present the finest examples of American art, fulfilling an educational role through dynamic exhibitions, publications, and programs that illuminate our nation’s diverse heritage and artistic advancements. Thanks to generous support provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program, visitors can enjoy Free Admission to the NBMAA all day once a month. Throughout the year, we collaborate with local artists and engage our neighbors to present Community Days filled with live music, performances, art activities, and local vendors. Learn more at the NBMAA's website.
